ECSU Community Connections Event to Feature U.S. Navy Band
The Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) Community Connections Performance and Lecture Series is hosting the U.S. Navy Band at 7 p.m., Nov. 9 at the campus’ Mickey L. Burnim Fine Arts Center. The event is free, but registration is required and tickets must be presented at the door.
The band, which has performed at ECSU before, is currently on a national tour.
“We are proud that the U.S. Navy Band is making ECSU one of their performance stops,” said ECSU Department of Music and Visual Arts Professor Douglas Jackson. “Their music has been well received and appreciated by the campus community and the city in the past, and we’re anticipating another successful, musical event.”
Community Connections events are sponsored and supported by a combination of ECSU student fees, a private donation from Trustee Phyllis Bosomworth, Microsoft, First Citizens Wealth Management, Duke Energy Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
